TastyBite eatables is approx 2.6 times since March 2017, 10 times in last 5 years.

History  

The Tasty Bite Brand was launched in the US in 1995 with 5 all-natural ready-to-eat Indian products.  Today it is America's largest brand of prepared Indian food.

Its products are currently available in US, Canada, Australia, Japan and UK.  


Products

Tasty Bite products include Indian meals, Asian meals and noodles, and a line of ready-to-eat rices and whole grains.  

In India the company launched Tasty Bite Food Services business (TFS) in 2006.  In India - They currently have a range of sauces and formed frozen products.


Growth 

The company's sales and profits have grown steadily over the last 11 years.  Since 2009 company's sales have grown by approx. 10 times and its profits have grown by 40 times. 

Promoters of the company as of June 30, 2020 hold approx. 75% of the shares of the company. Rest of the shares of the company are held by common public.

Risks to Business 


The company currently trades at 89 p/e (price to equity ratio).  This in plain words means that the stock valuation is high. 

This may be because the company's business is in the Food Consumer Products (FMCG = Fast moving consumer goods) area where generally the valuations are high.

It has also maintained a higher sales growth (approx. 19%), a high return on capital employed (28.33%) and a high return on equity (27.84%). 


Small Cap Company

The company is a small cap company with a market capitalisation of approx. Rs.3000 crores.

Generally small cap stocks are volatile - i.e. there price fluctuates a lot in the stock market ( as compared to indices like NIFTY or NSE50 and Sensex - BSE30)
